Kirsty Duncan
Your Liberal Candidate For
Etobicoke North
A champion for a better future in Etobicoke North
Since becoming a federal Member of Parliament, Francis Drouin has worked tirelessly to serve his riding of Glengarry–Prescott–Russell. He considers it an honour and privilege to help people.
During the pandemic, he supported his community, businesses and organizations by benefitting from the assistance programs put in place by the government. After many exchanges held through virtual meetings, he was able to identify the community’s most pressing needs and take them to Ottawa. This valuable feedback has always allowed him to do better.
He hopes to continue in his role as Member of Parliament because he firmly believes in the value of public service. Whether it's advocating for a more sustainable, equitable and green economy, a more affordable life for families and young adults, or ensuring our most vulnerable have access to the services they need, Francis remains committed to being a strong voice in Ottawa for the issues that matter most to Glengarry–Prescott–Russell.
He also believes that every region and every community is unique. Francis and his family live in Russell but enjoy every corner of the region whenever they get the chance.
Francis holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa and a college diploma in business administration from Collège La Cité, where he served as a member of the Board of Directors. He started as a Special Assistant in the Office of the Premier of Ontario before working in the private sector as a government relations consultant. He then worked as Director of government relations for Startup Canada. He often spends his time volunteering, especially for United Way.
When Francis is not in Ottawa, you can find him in his community working alongside his constituents to make Glengarry–Prescott–Russell a better place to live.
